Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry comprises the following members.

Honorary members Qualified members with notable achievements in Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry.
Emeritus members Members who have helped the society.
Full members Individuals with academic knowledge of Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry or other relations to the academy.
Student members Students of universities, junior and senior colleges, and comparable schools.
Junior
members
Students in secondary education schools such as junior high school or high school, who have a willingness to actively study learning areas including agricultural chemistry fields.
Organization members Organizations and institutions, i.e. enterprises, industrial laboratories, universities, public examination centers, research centers, and libraries, concerned with Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry.
Sustaining members Sponsoring organizations or individuals supporting the aims of the society.
Foreign members Foreign readers of the society journal with close connections to Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry.

At the end of March 2014, the membership totalled more than eleven thousand, including about one hundred and fiftieth foreigners representing eleven countries.
